Starting Point
Your tour of Sydney starts at the Rose Bay Boat Ramp, which is right next to the Rose Bay Ferry Wharf.
We suggest you arrive in plenty of time before your tour so we can get underway right on time. If you arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your tour starts, you’re able to enjoy the whole experience and get to meet others on the same tour.
Please note: If you are more than 5 minutes late, we will have to leave without you.
Getting There
A ferry from Circular Quay takes just 10 minutes. Walk 30 metres to the right to get to the boat ramp.
You can take buses 323, 324, or 325 from the CBD.
An Uber trip from the CBD costs around $20.
If you drive, you can park for free in either of the car parks in Lyne Park. Otherwise, you can park in one of the adjacent streets.
Please allow additional time for parking as the car parks can be busy.

We provide you with a waterproof bag for all your valuables, and a life vest. We also have ponchos available that will pretty much completely cover your clothes. However, we find that most people prefer their own clothing choices.

Tour Information
-
There are no set times for all tours, because it depends on which tours are booked.
As a guide, currently there are two tours per day. In summer, there are three tours per day – and if demand is high, there could be four.
At the moment, the first tour starts at 10 am, but this could change to 9 am in summer. You will see the tour times when you book.
-
All bookings are made online. Choose the tour you want, enter the number of boats, and select the date and time.
-
To rent a boat, you must be at least 18.
To drive a boat, you must be at least 16.
Passengers must be at least 10 years of age. Because the water can be a bit bumpy at times, we do not allow any children under 10 to join our tours.
-
Our boats are built for two people. Note that the total passenger weight must not exceed 220 kg. The seats are roomy and comfortable. There’s even seat heating if you head out in some of our colder months!
There are three boats available for each tour, which means you’re in a small, friendly group of six.
The boats are certified for level flotation, which is the highest water safety standard. This means that they are basically unsinkable. So even if they are completely full of water, they will remain upright.
-
You do not need a licence of any kind to drive our boats. Before you start, our highly trained staff gives you a detailed briefing that covers how you operate the boat, and the rules that apply.
The boat speed is limited to below 10 knots. If you’re not up with nautical terms, this is around 18.5 km per hour. It is a NSW boating regulation that applies to non-licenced boat drivers.
If you have a licence, please bring it with you so you can have even more fun.
-
During the tour, you follow an experienced guide, so you won’t be left on your own to navigate. You can leave that compass at home!
Your guide is able to answer your questions during the tour, and is right there if you need any assistance.
-
Bring your camera or phone. Your guide takes photos during the tour and emails them to you after the trip – FOR FREE!
-
If you want to each have a turn driving, you can swap places in the middle of the trip when the water is calm. This is easy to do and there is no chance of you falling into the water.
Tour Policies
-
If weather, wind or water conditions are such that they could jeopardise the safe operation of our boats, we will cancel the tour, because your safety is our highest priority.
-
If we need to cancel a tour due to unsafe weather or water conditions, you can re-book for another day that suits you. But if that’s not an option for you, we’ll issue you with a full refund.
If your tour is booked for the morning, we’ll notify you until 6 pm on the previous day.
If your tour is booked for the afternoon, we’ll let you know until 9 am on the same day.
And if you can’t be reached on the phone number you provided when you booked, we’ll send you an email.
